Don’t argue with “nobody”; ask what happened today, then keep an eye on the next few weeks.

Where to start

  • Skip “Of course they do”, and ask “What happened?”
  • Ask her class teacher what they see at playtime.
  • Sadness usually passes, but Place2Be’s advice is to get help if it persists: talk to her teacher and your GP if she stays low, eats or sleeps differently, or stops enjoying things she used to love.
