The Two-Year Review

At about two your child is offered a health and development review; prepare for it at home, and bring every question you have.

A two-minute read, three things to try, for children under 5.

Where to start

  • Do the questionnaire at home, where your child is relaxed; ask for help if unsure.
  • Write your questions down beforehand, sleep and behaviour included, and take the red book.
  • If you’re worried before the review, contact your health visitor or GP.
  • At about two, your child will be offered a health and development review, usually with a health visitor or a nursery nurse.
  • In Scotland the health visitor comes to your home when your child is between twenty-seven and thirty months, and in Wales the health visitor sees your child at twenty-seven months.

The rest of the tip, and why it works, is in the library.
