The Room Your Child Will Not Leave

Time on a headset is often time with friends, so start by asking about it.

A two-minute read, three things to try, for ages 9 to 13.

Where to start

  • Sit next to your child for ten minutes on a Saturday, asking about the game.
  • Check whether they’re sleeping, eating with the family and still doing things off-screen.
  • If they are, let the gaming be for now; if not, rebalance their week.

The rest of the tip, and why it works, is in the library.
