Where to start

  • Take three sleepless nights seriously: three nights becomes three weeks more often than parents expect.
  • Book a GP appointment, and don’t play down what’s happening.
  • Book a GP appointment and say plainly what’s happening, without playing it down: “I’m not sleeping.
  • If it has turned into low mood that does not lift, your GP is where clinical help starts.
