The subscriptionOne decision, once a year
One subscription. The whole library.
Therapist-written guidance on the questions parents bring us most.
£129a year
Around £10.75 a month, billed once a year. No tiers, no app, nothing to manage. About the price of a shelf of good hardbacks, for a library that keeps growing, and, unlike the shelf, knows how old your child is.
What you getFrom the first evening
- Every chapter, from the day you join. The whole library, nothing held back for a higher tier, and everything that arrives after you join stays on your shelf.
- The short version, on every chapter. Three things that help at the top, the fuller set to take with you at the end, for the evening you do not have twenty minutes.
- Read-aloud audio. Most chapters, read aloud by the practice, for the car and the washing-up.
- Quick Tips. Short pieces for the moments that need an answer now: tantrums and big feelings, bedtime, worry, sibling conflict, screens, and the transitions that tip a day over.
- A curated wider shelf. Books, films and podcasts chosen by the same therapists who write the library, so the next parenting book you buy is never a guess.
- A library that reads well at night. Night reading, a shelf of kept chapters, and a way back to wherever you stopped.
- One quiet email. When something new is published, and never otherwise.
Who writes itAnd who stands behind it
Written by therapists, not a content team.
The Parent Book is written by the qualified therapists of Kensington Square Therapy, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, drawing on years of clinical work with children, young people, and the parents around them, much of it in and alongside London’s independent schools. We do not believe a definitive manual for raising children exists, and this library does not pretend to be one. It is therapeutically informed writing made to support, never to fix, and it points plainly to the wider network of help whatever your child’s age.
Before you decideRead something first
Try the shelf before you buy it.
There is no free trial; there is something better. A full chapter is open to read, the one-minute pieces are open, and the contents page tells you exactly what the library holds. If the writing does not earn your evening, do not subscribe.
More than that: every subject we cover has two pages that are free to anyone, now and permanently, whether you ever subscribe or not. One says what to do first, what helps, and three things to try this week. The other names the organisations beyond this library, what each one does, when it is the right call, and the number to ring. Both are written to be printed and kept. They are the fairest test of the writing there is, because nothing about them depends on your deciding anything.

Can I cancel?
At any time. Access continues until the end of your paid year, and within the first fourteen days you receive a full refund under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. The terms and refund policy say this in plain language.
How does sign-in work?
No passwords. Enter your email and click the link we send you; sessions last ninety days, and if you ever lose access you simply ask for a new link.
Will you email me a lot?
One short note when something new is published, and never otherwise. You can turn even that off.
What about my child’s school?
Pastoral staff at any school can read the library free through the teachers’ shelf and send a chapter to the parent who needs it. Your subscription is yours either way, and no school is told what you read. About the teachers’ shelf.
Who do I write to?
For anything about your subscription, hello@theparentbook.com. For anything clinical, or about the practice, contact@kst.ltd. Both are read by a person.
